Global connected-marine and OEM delivery

Leading product, hardware and software delivery across companies and long-lived marine programs in the Brunswick ecosystem, including Mercury Marine and Navico.

The situation

OEM delivery expands the product boundary. Technical decisions have to work across organizations with different roadmaps, quality systems, commercial constraints and release processes.

In connected marine products, environmental conditions, hardware integration, certification, installation and long service lives add constraints that purely digital products do not carry.

My responsibility

My role combines executive and technical leadership across global connected-product and OEM delivery in the Brunswick ecosystem, including work involving Mercury Marine and Navico.

I work across boards, owners, executives, customers, engineering teams and OEM partners, keeping dependencies and delivery risk visible without flattening the technical detail.

What makes the work difficult

  • Multiple companies contribute to one customer experience without sharing one reporting line.
  • Hardware, firmware, cloud and mobile releases must align with industrialization and partner programs.
  • Certification, quality and field support have to survive regional and product-line variation.
  • Decisions made early can remain embedded in products and partner integrations for years.

How I approach it

01

Translate without simplifying away the risk

I connect engineering reality with executive decisions and partner commitments while preserving the detail that can change an outcome.

02

Find integration risk before the schedule does

Interface ownership, validation environments and release dependencies need attention before they turn into program delays.

03

Quality crosses company boundaries

Quality emerges from design, supplier control, production, software delivery, installation and operation together.

04

Candor compounds over a long program

Technical candor, predictable decisions and respect for each organization’s constraints matter when the same companies have to keep working together.
